Jamil has had a deep seeded passion for Arabic music his entire life. Being of Middle Eastern decent Jamil has grown up with belly dancing pumping rapidly throughout his veins and considers it a way of life rather then purely an art.

Jamil's dance style is authentically original. His dance style combines the strength of the Lebanese style, fluidity of the Egyptian style and isolation of the Turkish style to create a uniquely masculine approach to the belly dance genre. The use of Veil and saaidi cane further enhances his ability to captivate an audience and enthrall them in his enjoyable interpretation of the oriental rhythm and beats.

Jamil’s professional career was boosted in 2004 when he studied professionally at Ameras Palace and began working in his first restaurant as a full time performer. Since then, Jamil has been sought after as a renowned artist and has performed at esteemed functions and concerts. In late 2005, Jamil became a dance instructor and choreographer and currently teaches both independently and under the guidance of Ameras palace. He is also the head choreographer of ATTAR troupe.

Jamil has been requested both nationally and internationally for notable functions which have allowed Jamil to gain a sense of international stardom. In 2008 Jamil in collaboration with NB productions held a one night only event titled ‘Jamil- the evolution of belly dance, through a male’s perspective’ at the Seymoure centre. The night openly presented Jamil to the Sydney art culture and was a great success. In 2009 & 2010 Jamil was sponsored on various occasions throughout Australia to perform and teach workshops. In 2010, Jamil was contracted to teach and perform in Beijing, China.

With humble confidence Jamil introduces audiences to the exotic form of male Arabian dancing, through both vigor and grace.
