Lisi Hannan breaths life into the genre of bellydance. Coming from a South Brazilian heritage, Lisi Hannan echoes the sensual and wholesome beats of Brazil with that of Raqs el sharqi. Her movement is uniquely modern-Turkish fused with classic-Egyptian which propels audiences into fits of excitement when the use of veil is thrown into the mix.
In 1996, when she met popular Belly Dance Master Teacher Alessandra Forte, Lisi Hannan knew she had found the dance that captured her essence. Here, Lisi began performing and teaching with Alessandra’s Belly Dance Company. In 2001, Lisi opened her own company - Cia Kadriya Bellydance and won over 20 prizes in various competitions for her choreographies. The most prestigious award was the best company in "Mercosul" (region include Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina) for 2 times, 2001 and best dancer in 2003.She started her international career in 2002. She has performed throughout Latin America, has performed in Portugal in 2003, visited Morocco in 2004, and in 2007 moved to Australia.
Lisi has been inspired and taught by various teachers, most notably: Alessandra Forte, Samara, Setrak Sarkissian, Fadua Chuffi, Camelia, Lulu Sabonji, Najua, Soraya, Mahmoud El Masri, Gizele Bomentre, Paulo Marcelino, Hadia Hassam, Randa Kamel, Michelle Joyce.
Lisi has starred in important events in Australia such Australian Idols 2007, The Chopping Block in both 2007 and 2008, the " VIVA magazine" cover and interview 2007, New weekly magazine with Australian Idols 2007, Lebanese Carnival 2007, Aroma Coffee Festival at The Rocks 2008 and 2009, Turkfest Circular Quay 2008, Show with the Turkish band Dolapdere Big Gang tour Australia 2008, Holroyd City Fest 2009 and 2010, Lisi Hannan is also seen in Amera’s teaching Khaleegy DVD, with some appearance with “so you think you can dance” for the Australian Dance Festival 2009.
